My work explores physical and psychological space, drawing inspiration from cities, architecture, the movements of energy, and the intersections between the natural and urban. What are the systems and structures that support us and alienate us? How do we find place or wholeness in a hybridized world? I work primarily in drawing and painting and sculpture/installation using abstraction as my means to understand these movements. I am interested in the structures and patterns, we create and rely on, focusing on points of juncture and dissonance. Drawing and hands-on processes play a primary role in the work. I’m interested in ecology, abstraction, architecture, psycho-geography.
